INITIATIVES

  • Youth Tech Training Program

The Youth Tech Training Program (YTTP) is a technology training program, which targets graduates and undergraduates. Graduates and undergraduates are specifically targeted for the program basically to reduce the unemployment rate. Technology and innovation are the central themes of the program. Along with free training, EAF presents gifts that are in line with skills acquired to students who stand out among their peers. In addition to the acquisition of technical skills, all trainees are given a basic course on Entrepreneurship Development.

  • Summer ICT and Personal Development Bootcamp

The labour market has gone beyond requiring degree certificates, causing many graduates with good degrees to be unemployed by organizations and companies. The world has gone digital with technology disruption in all sectors, thus with or without degree certificates, individuals are expected to have certain digital skills to be employable. As a result, Explore Africa Foundation implemented the Summer ICT and Personal Development Bootcamp initiative to youths gain the necessary and required skill to set forth their goal and create more flexible job opportunities. As implied, the Bootcamp is held annually during the summer “holiday” period, so that it does not interfere with the conventional educational cycle in most countries.

  • Youth Konnect for Peace Network (YKPN)

Healthy interaction is good medicine for the social wellbeing of every community, and healthy communities across Africa directly translate to a safer and more enjoyable Africa. YKPN brings African youths together a few hundred at a time, host them in a controlled environment that would otherwise seem inaccessible to them and furnish them with mentorship from some of the most enlightened minds across the continent for 14 days. The program targets youngsters aged between 16 and 20 years and in some cases, younger individuals are permitted to participate, provided they have not attained an equivalence of the West African Examination Council Certificate. YKPN also serves the purpose of availing young Africans the opportunity to meet themselves, exchange ideas and learn collaboration, thereby strengthening the bond between nations.

  • Young Leaders Mentoring Program

There is the potential to lead in every individual. Explore African Foundation helps to guide the younger generation into discovering their leadership capabilities and exploring them. This initiative targets post-primary school adolescents, mentoring them and giving them direct contact with influential figures to help them aspire for more.
